Modalities offered:

  • Massage has many benefits to the body and that is why it is used in every single treatment! It is important to remember that muscle moves bone, bone doesn’t move muscle! Benefits of massage include; increase circulation, remove adhesions, aid in proper muscle development, promote healing an countless others! Muscles can tell a story and they never lie!

  • Osteopathy takes into consideration the whole horse. During assessment I categorize what I observe by Muscle; Neural; Skeletal; Visceral and Humoral. Did you know through all these you can link your horses hind foot all the way to their ear? It is also why a dental problem can be the culprit of hind end lameness! By trying to bring all these aspects into balance the goal is to help the horse achieve better whole body balance!

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine believes Chi or Qi is the life force that energy flows through everything. In acupressure these Chi pathways are linked to body organs and through touch or needling (Acupuncture) it is possible to help rebalance these meridians to aid in common body ailments; such as cough ( Lung Meridian), circulation problems (Heart Meridan)… just to name a few but still keep it simple. The thought that goes into each individual horses treatment is a tad more complicated!

  • A very unique therapy that involves careful consideration of the Central Nervous System and the structures involved. Using light touch to access and relieve restrictions to this system can promote the movement of fluids in the Central Nervous System, this in turn can help relieve pain (especially in the poll and head), boost health and balance the body.

  • Kinesiology Taping can have many uses depending on several factors; the pattern used, the amount of stretch applied, where the tape is applied, etc! It works by helping lift the dermal layer to allow the movement of interstitial fluid to provide more nourishment to the tissue. It can also work to allow excess fluid to move in cases of trauma or swelling. Applications can also be used help provide additional support to muscles or tendons. The possibilities are endless!

  • Herbals are ever growing in popularity, however with popularity you also get more people trying commercially available mixes and not getting the results promised… Did you know herbs work best when consideration of horses as a individual are considered? Whereas the herbal mixtures you see in feed stores just solely recognize the condition you would like to treat! When considering what herbals work best for each individual horse there are many factors taken into consideration such as; the horses living condition, nutrition, age, gender, job, workload, medications, conditions… just to name a few!

  • Ever heard of the theory of treating “like with like”? Homeopathy is safer then herbals but can be just as effective. By giving homeopathics that consist of a plant based substance that when in its raw form can create a symptom, it is thought that through a dilution and potentization process that what once could create a symptom, can now treat it when matched with the correct personality and demeanor! Think of how Coffee can create anxiety in some but quiet anxiety in others!

All treatments include some components of Massage, Osteopathy, Acupressure/Acupuncture and Craniosacral!

Every horse is an individual so not all treatments will look the same. K- Tape, Herbology and Homeopathy may be added on a case by case basis based on what may benefit each horse the most!
